The satanic rituals of Ernest Borgnine

The photography is excellent, the plot doubtful, and Ernest Borgnine's goat mask leaves a lot to be desired. I just saw it on the Horror Channel here in the UK, but am disappointed to find you can't buy a DVD at a reasonable price in Region 2.

Mr Borgnine was, of course, a dedicated Mason for many decades - but we can ignore the more extreme anti-Masonic writers and assume that he never engaged in the type of rituals shown in this film. The red robe? Maybe.

If only John Travolta - virtually unrecognizable in Devil's Rain - had followed Mr Borgnine into the Craft - and not into the clutches of L. Ron Hubbard and David Miscavige.

I was just thinking about that while watching the film today. I used to be hugely into conspiracy theories (particularly the Illuminati and their control of Hollywood). I still am to some extent but not as much as I was a couple years ago. But I thought that if people on the conspiracy sites I visited would watch this film and connect it to Ernest Borgnine's Masonry they would have a field day.

I didn't know EB was a Mason. But why else would he always get work? Not only make a living as a character actor, but a famous actor & "star". His good looks? His flawless technique?

But, really, who the funck would trade Travolta's career for borgnine's?! EB has the longevity edge, but he's also 40 yrs older.

And LR Hubbard was a big time Satanist. There's a fun TV show on the Weather Channel called "American Supernatural" or something like that. There's an episode (1.6) called "Devil's Gate Dam". They replay that episode a lot. It's very good, in a creepy way. Good narration, pacing, production values, etc. There's a part that mentions Jack Parsons who worked with our government developing rockets, who was also a big deal Satanist. What a coincidence, eh?!

Anyway, his buddy, Hubbard lived with him, and supposedly they worked on opening a portal called the Babylon Working. This, I believe, was accomplished right before the Roswell incident occurred. So, this show alludes that's why there are more UFO sightings now, etc.

It's pretty interesting, even if you're not buying it. Watch it if you ever get the chance. ;^)

The phrase big-time anyways means "unproven".

Yes, Ernest was a Free Mason. And no, they don't practice rituals as depicted in this film. No red robes, no invoking Satan, no demonology, no inverted crosses. Not at all.
