I'd like to know this, too. I think curses on supernatural horror films like The Exorcist, The Omen, and Poltergeist are very interesting and wasn't aware of anything connected to this movie.

Such horror movies actually generate their own publicity when the movie is made. Anything whatsoever that goes amiss during shooting (and many things do on all movies) are naturally attributed to a curse of some sort.
Oh, and any death of anyone on the cast and crew for any reason at all, or anyone related to the cast and crew is also considered part of the curse.
It's all spin, its all part of generating interest for the movie. And above all, encouraging people to watch it.
Also, this movie was rather stupid anyway and didn't really delve into any forbidden occult concepts.
