The 1988 U.S. AXON VIDEO release I have is under the title "THE DEVIL WITHIN HER". Perhaps that's a more appropriate title.

yeah but could it b a sick twist on Sharon Tate's baby and the fact her husband was behind Rosemary's Baby and they are trying to compare it to that classic movie??

Funny you should say that because, even though Ralph Bates's character is supposed to be Italian, I kept thinking that his accent made him sound like Roman Polanski.

I doubt anybody directly involved with the film intentionally used this alternate title as some sort of play in relation to Sharon Tate. I guess it's possible that certain film distributors may have used this title in hopes of drawing some weird and eerie connection(s) with Tate, Polanski, Rosemary's Baby or even somehow with the Manson murders.

I question IMDB's choice to list this film as "Sharon's Baby." Shouldn't films be listed under their original titles? Until I looked up the film here, I never came across any mentions of this alternate title, which I agree, bigtrainphantom, was most likely used by a distributor and not by the creative team.

I agree with the others. I think it may be an attempt to connect it to the Manson family and the murders in some way. Though it seems a bit random as this film has nothing in common with the murders. If I were a member of the Tate family I'd be offended at the implication that Sharon's baby would've been the Antichrist if it had been born, assuming that is the true reason for this strange title. Interestingly enough, I think Joan Collins was friends with Sharon Tate as there are pictures of her at Sharon and Roman's wedding.

Either way, I think "I Don't Want to Be Born" or "The Devil Within Her" are much better titles.
