2nd Greatest Indian movie !
Don't you think that it is the 2nd or the 3rd greatest Indian movie of all time ? The greatest of course ! has to be Satyajit Ray's 'Pather Panchali'.

Deewaar is indeed a masterpiece. However, I would rate it below Sholay, which had all-round perfection from every actor. Some of the scenes with Shashi Kapoor were rather unconvincing. i found Parveen Babi to be a hidden gem in this film, she is the epitome of 'femme fatale'! But i do agree, Pather Panchali is number one.

Parveen Babi did the damn thing in Deewaar. Outstanding performance by her. Shashi and Amitabh play off each other so well, but Bachchan steals the show in Deewaar. Deewaar is my favorite Bachchan performance EVER! I prefer Shashi over Amitabh in Kaala Pathar and Kabhi Kabhie.
