I rented this from Netflix Online. I'm speechless, this has to be the nastiest movie I've ever seen. This movie makes the werewolf sex scene in Howling II look like a Disney movie. Very strange movie, and not for kids!

the thread title sums it up really.

The film is all over the place. I understand the "Beast" sequence was filmed first and was originally meant to part of "Immoral Tales" but the director thought he could build a feature film around it. I don't think he succeeded.

It has a bit of everything, French farce, anti-clericalism, equine sex scenes along with familial murder. However I found the whole thing a bit forced.
For example we are expected to believe that the (very attractive) heiress continues to be interested in the son, even though he has shocking table manners and can't string 2 words together! His father had written the sons letters to her that had persuaded her to come over but she should have copped on when she met him in person.

The slightly mysoginistic theme is continued as we are expected to believe that the woman being "ravished" by the beast begins to enjoy being penetrated by his huge member, and suffers no physical damage. I know it's meant to be part of a dream but still.

The rest of the film do look as if they were filmed at a different time to the "Beast" scenes as they don't go together at all. The mad Benny Hill like music over the rape scenes make them seem even more ridiculous.

Having said all that the film is worth watching at least once because your'e unlikely to see anything quite like it. Not for the faint hearted though!

The girl is clearly rebelling. She's fascinated by the horse porn, the beasts, and so on, even though she can't openly admit it. It's not too big a stretch to think she's fascinated by the weird man, too. It's mainly her mother who was won over by the letters.
