I thought it was fantastic! Most films with similar themes take the low road of having an outspoken protagonist in a town in need of help, and the 3rd act is him defeating the villains of the city.... whereas this one got rid of the bad townspeople in the second act and did a 180 in having those who saved it take their place as the villains.

I've been watching alot of blaxploitation films lately and this one really stands out. Also, Fred Williamson AND Pam Grier in the same film?! You can't go wrong.

Here's to BEEYUUTIFUL...(ah ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!)...BUCKTOWN!

I'm runnin' this town, I'm runnin' it...An' I got every one around here RIGHT BY THE BALLS...(including - YOU). An' if anyone is gonna have to leave, it aint gonna be old Roy (Oh no buddy)...It's gonna be - YOU.

I concur. This film is excellent. Fred Williamson and Pam Grier are terrific in the leads. Thalmus Rasulala is likewise fantastic. The action scenes are quite rough and exciting. I especially enjoyed the brutal fight between Williamson and Rasulala at the end of the movie.

I write bios, therefore I am.

great film, i liked the twists and turns the different character developments made

sure it was made to get a rise out of the audience but hey, it kinda worked.. and if it left any type of real message i'd say it was a good example of how power can corrupt

this movie is amazing, underrated blaxploitation.

Oh all the blaxploitation movies i watched, this one is the greatest. It is Fred Williamson at his best. It was an amazing movie, and I like how it took place in a one horse town in which a lot of those towns are controled by the police department. the plot was excellent as well

Also to have Fred Williamson and Pam Grier in a movie together is always good.

Unfortunately I found having Pam and the Hammer together was too good to be true. It's an okay film, but I didn't enjopy it as much as I was hoping. Though it was worth it just for Fred in a swat tank driving through a car and building, and the Quiet Man-esque final finght made me laugh.

Nice to see Carl Weathers, and it is fun to see the two leads together,

That was easily the best fight scene that I've seen in one of these kinds of movies.

I enjoyed it. Though it may not be one of the best revenge films, it is still a very good one.

Me, too. I just saw it for the first time today. This was a nice departure from the "Black is good/white is bad" binary so typical in most Blaxploitation fare. Aside from that, the casting was incredible; so many good folks in this one.
