Posting Mistakes in the Goofs Section

I just suggested that IMDB eliminate a goof.

This goof stated that "Deacon stops the train by pulling on the Johnson bar. The Johnson bar only makes the train move back and forward. It does not stop a train."

The goof was really two goofs by the poster.

Goof #1, calling Bronson's character Deacon when his name was Deakin.

Goof #2, Deakin really moves two levers. He first moves the Johnson bar then pulls a second lever. The train may have slowed slightly by moving the first bar but stopped only when the second lever was pulled.

I asked for the removal of this goof.

See why it is important to be correct gramatically? When you make a gramatical mistake, you are apt to make more goofs!

Grammatical.  G-R-A-M-M-A-T-I-C-A-L.  Grammatical.

Secondly, the Johnson bar controls the admission of steam into the cylinder(s) of the engine, not just controlling forward and reverse.  Deakin may have been adjusting the lever to allow little or no steam into the cylinders, much like putting an car's engine into neutral, before applying the brakes.  See this article — http://home.roadrunner.com/~trumpetb/loco/rodsr.html — for more details.

Correct spelling is also desirable. There are two ms in grammatically and grammatical!

As is paying attention to the fact someone else pointed that out on Mon Mar 12 2012 02:44:08, over a year prior to your post on Fri May 3 2013 12:38:16. This thread had two posts at the time, was it really that difficult to read both prior to replying? 

RIP Ron Swanson. Writers created your awesomeness in S1 and killed it in S7
