Good soundtrack.
I think this is a good soundtrack, and suprisingly it was never released to my knowledge until fairly recently in a limited edition cd album. I purchased one myself and listen to it fairly often now!

I know you posted your comment ages ago 'big bellied geezer' but I still thought I would reply. I too love the soundtrack for this film - it takes me right back to how London felt in the 1970s - even though I was only a kid at the time. (In this respect I think it's also a bit like Micheal Winner's remake of The Big Sleep and 'The Biggest Bank Robbery' with Richard Jordan and David Niven.!)
I didn't know that there was a CD made, I'll see if I can get a copy of it.
Nice to know that there are others out there who have the same taste in music/films/soundtracks!!!!
Dominic Frontiere's funky jazz soundtrack for Brannigan (Douglas Hickox, 1975) is arguably the most dynamic aspect of the film, a vintage seventies musical item.

shareThe score was very good, kicked in and went out in just the right places. The cinematography - completely outstanding, Gerry Fisher (Highlander) did a wonderful job. It's a superbly crafted movie all around and there I was, expecting a bad cop flick with an aging star past his prime. Not so.
shareIt's been almost a decade since big_bellied_geezer's post – and sadly, several years since I've seen anything from him, which make me fear the worst – but I'm glad to hear the soundtrack for this mostly forgotten film has been immortalized on CD.
But back to my other point: Does anyone know what became of big_bellied_geezer? I found his comments on other boards very perceptive and helpful.
