The Emperor's New Clothes


This happens quite frequently. Some hotshot auteur craving attention, but lacking true creativity, sets out to make the most bizarre film possible. They raise questions with no justifiable answers, leaving all storytelling at the hands of their victims (audience). Of course there will be those who insist that they "get it" who will then defend the con artist as this makes them feel highbrow.

Of course the unique offense here is the total failure to construct anything with style. I do have to say the first 15 minutes or so create intrigue. Perhaps that's part of the ploy, to lead an audience into thinking this is going somewhere.
