Why George is sooo Good as Spade
Segal is ideal as Spade in this flic;
He has enough cynicism to go'round...
He looks good in a fedora(this is no small thing)...
He parades around as a lover like his old man !
He's quite witty & funny to boot;
Georgie Boy appears to be having fun doin'his schtick.
He plays off well w\all his character actors and that is no mean feat.
...and playing Sam takes a certain panache and Segal has it in SPADES
