Finally, Bite the Bullet is being broadcast again (in magnificent widescreen HD) by a commercial-free premium provider:
Sony Movie Classics: Thu, 1/09/14, 12:15 PM, and Mon, 1/13/14, 8:10 AM and Sat. 1/25 at 5:10 AM.
It just came on on the MOVIES channel----part of their all-day Western movie fest. Never heard of it, but it's cool to see both James Coburn (who had the perfect tough look for Westerns) and Hackman (who didn't do a lot of Westerns) in one. The opening of the film in he desert made me think at first that it was a spaghetti western, but it's not,apparently. I mentioned that it was on since the MOVES channel has the nice and much-appreciated habit of rerunning movies again.
