Never saw this one before this year!

Growing up in the 80's, my parents taped every single cartoon special that
aired. To this day they STILL probably have a goldmine of recorded tv specials
on VHS that I really should look into converting to digital..

However, i don't recall EVER seeing "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown" before...

Wonder why this one wasn't aired during the 80's?

At any rate, recorded it tonite on my dvr while watching it with my own kids.

It brings such joy to my heart to see how much they love all the old
CHARLIE BROWN specials.

Many '70s programs did vanish in the '80s from network tv.

I never saw The Brady Bunch again after massive watches in the '70s until around 2000.

I don't know about the Christmas one, but Easter never aired that much after a while, nor did Thanksgiving, and only much later did I see Slide, Charlie Brown, Slide, which I had read in comic book reprints but didn't realize it was animated.

Same for the arm wrestling at camp bit between Lucy and the Masked Marvel. It vanished within years of airing.

I saw this special more than once in the 80's, but then I never saw it again until last week. Crazy how they shelved it for so many years. The new special sucks in comparison.
