haven't seen this movie, how bad is it anyway?
yep
shareWhy would you ask this question? You see the rating, don't you?
shareI do see the rating but it's just a number, whereas actual reviews are more helpful.
shareHorrible from the opening folksy theme song with lyrics like "Sashay through the sarcasm" to the ending scene where the woman stumbled into the sea to be the mate of the laughable Gumby-esque 'walking cat fish' monster that the depressed German lunatic of a doctor turned into. As Mike put it: "It's ending like an Italian neo-realist movie from the sixties!" And Tom Servo quipped: "It was the winner of the Cannes Palm D'Uh award!" it's senseless, the plot is extremely lame, the characters mostly repulsive(except for the poor black guy everybody talked down to wven though he was supposed to be scientist), and the costumes so laughable that they are jaw-dropping. Maybe cleaned up it is actually watchable, but the yellowish grainy film I saw on MST3K was just awful. That did not help me to get through the film...although nothing did, really.
shareOne of the top 5 worst films ever made, it amazes me that someone paid money to make this film, Like the people who gave Ed Wood money i guess there are stupid people with more money than brains out there, truly a terrible movie, but worth seeing just to make fun of and laugh at.
shareWell, IMHO the movie makes Zombie 5: The Killing Birds look good.
shareIt was bad, but was A)not among the worst(i.e. 01/10s), and B)was watchable because it was also amusing... which is not usually the case for bad movies.
03/10
I prefer Zaat to just about everything that modern day Hollywood produces.
