Yikes! UK ending is different from US cable edit! *spoiler*

Folks familiar with the US cable version think the narrative ends immediately after Alfie hands the rose to the lady traffic cop and drives off. As the US TV-version has the sides cropped, one can't see a newsstand board in the bottom right of the widescreen shot announcing the latest news headline. The UK one keeps on rolling a few agonizing minutes more before the final credits every version has in common.
