Just got a DVD copy

I am re-watching When Things Were Rotten on some DVDs I purchased on-line and they are good copies. However, as much as I loved this show when I was a kid, it doesn't really hold up now. It looks almost like a school play with lots of groaners and over-the-top acting. It was worth it just to hear that great theme song though.

I do have to disagree with the idea that TV was better when we were forced to watch the best of what was on the 3 networks. Most of those shows were horrible, but we watched anyway because there was nothing else on. Now I can pick and choose between multiple networks and watch whatever I want whenever I want.
