Anyone remember how the original series finally ends?

How does the original Survivors end – Season 3, Episode 12 Power (1977)?

There's two answers for you at the 2008 version's message board, but I'll post mine here again.

They travel to Scotland to try and get hydroelectric power up and running. There's 150,000 survivors in the Scottish Highlands, and they quite liked their life there according to the Laird that Charles and Jenny met. Nice scenery and plenty of fish and game to eat, plus of course that's slap, bang in whisky distillery country. Hundreds of thousands of gallons of the finest Scotch whisky to tipple on to your heart's content. They were not at all interested in establishing a government again, and they certainly didn't want the seat of any new government to be south of the border again. The Laird jokingly said that Charles Vaughn could be his Secretary of State for England! Lol!

Cheers for that Stephen. I came across this Survivors Site (Original Series) it gives a synopsis of each episode from series one to three, the link is http://www.survivorstvseries.com//.

The second-last episode - 'Long Live The King' - FEELS like the 'proper' ending to me, really. The whole "150,000 Scottish survivors" of the last episode just seemed silly given everything the show had presented before, and the whole episode felt more like the start of a new series than the end of the whole show.

this is spot on.

Pretty wretchedly, as I recollect.

Actually, I used to look at those before I got the DVD player and they're pretty darn good.
