I agree because the 1989-1990(15th Anniversary)season was FANTASTIC with almost all of these same cast members plus Jan Hooks, Nora Dunn, Victoria Jackson, Jon Lovitz, Kevin Nealon.
Years later one of the SNL writers looked back and even said 1989 was the best SNL season ever, the years after that saw increased ratings because 1989 had brought in so many viewers. Heck, I remember watching SNL in early 1991 and it was obvious they were playing out the same characters it was getting stale. Eventually there was a purge after 1994 and they brought in many new cast members and the show got better again.
