Presenting SNL's 20 worst hosts: Will Elon Musk end up on this list?

https://www.rollingstone.com/tv/tv-lists/worst-saturday-night-live-hosts-ever-1162814/george-steinbrenner-2-1164117/

Rolling Stone's list of the 20 worst hosts includes George Steinbrenner, Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, Rudy Giuliani, January Jones, Lindsay Lohan, Andrew Dice Clay, Martin Lawrence and, of course, Donald Trump in his second hosting stint as a presidential candidate in 2015. "When NBC announced that the billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk would be hosting Saturday Night Live this week, the booking was met with righteous indignation from all corners of the internet, with some citing Musk’s controversial views on everything from Covid-19 to crypto-currency," says Noel Murray. "But for the show’s longtime fans, there’s an even bigger concern: Can Musk be funny? Or will this be another all-time SNL catastrophe? Throughout its 46 seasons, the legendary sketch-comedy show has had its share of dud hosts — with some performing so badly that longtime producer Lorne Michaels has buried their episodes deep, keeping them out of syndicated packages and off the web. Sometimes athletes or pop singers find it impossible to read jokes off a cue card. Sometimes a bigwig used to getting his way (like, y’know, Elon Musk) doesn’t want to play along with a bunch of snarky comedy writers. And sometimes there’s just bad mojo in the air — either because of what’s going on in the real world or because the host gets under the skin of SNL’s cast and crew."

What on earth are they thinking? Same can be said for Paris Hilton.

The episode where George Steinbrenner hosted had some pretty good sketches.

I have never liked Rudy Giuliani but for the Rolling Stone to put him on this list is just proof that the list is a farce, it's complete BULLSHIT.

People LOVED Giuliani's appearance on SNL. However, I did not.

Shocking Leftist rag is full of shit.
Untrustworthy.
Not worth reading.

I was just wondering, was Rudy Giuliani's performance and episode really that bad or are they just basing things on his current unsavory public perception (i.e. when he became Donald Trump's personal lawyer and Kate McKinnon started impersonating him on the show)?

Milton Berle, Louise Lasser, Deion Sanders rank in the top 20 all time worst guest hosts.

Whenever the list is brought up pertaining to "bad SNL" hosts, of course Steven Seagal is on the top of the list. Robert Blake was also like Steven Seagal in that he was very uncooperative and just an all around dickhead to deal with.

Frank Zappa is also up there just for how he kept breaking the fourth wall and his incessant mugging to the camera. In terms of "non-actors", Nancy Kerrigan is often mentioned at least, concerning athletes. At least Deion Sanders has natural charisma unlike Nancy Kerrigan.

Yes I've read a SNL book where the writers mention Robert Blake wadded up a script and threw it in their face. That act alone was worthy of his infamy, regardless if he killed his own wife. Seagal also deserved to be included because he tried to get a sketch approved which dealt with rape. It's hard to believe they had Nancy Kerrigan on as a guest host, man they jumped on the latest news event for that one!

There's obviously a long list of bad guest hosts, Uncle Milte, Lasser, Deion, Paris, etc. Maybe the worst ever would have been Nick Nolte but incredibly he didn't even make it to Saturday Night, he had to have an emergency replacement!

Frank Zappa is #3 in 1978! He didn't think much of TV, so just trolled his performance.
