My dad introduced me to the old 70s episodes back in the mid-2010s, when they were showing them on Netflix. They actually weren't too bad. Not all of it was good, but it had its moments :)

It’s always been hit or miss but it’s best years are far behind it.

Sad, but true.

It was good, off and on, up through the Mike Meyers/Dana Carvey years. It has consistently sucked ever since, and adding wokeness has just made it worse.

No, it's just terrible. Although to be fair, the last episode I watched in full viewing was in 2016.

I was a big Michael Keaton fan and watched the show.

Shocked...all the fart jokes and poop jokes. I felt like I was both 14 and dying...

The show dragged on and on. It was truly terrible television.

And I no longer subscribe to the Michael Keaton fan club newsletter anymore.

The actors all seem talented and worthy. But the writing...

I still love the show...and especially the TRADITION of the show. You need to be of a certain mindset when watching, and go in knowing some things won’t click...some things might flop....and some things will be so fun in the moment that even the performers can’t keep it together. The unpredictability is part of its charm. There’s nothing else out there quite like SNL. And its history and tradition are incredible. I mean...greats like Bill Murray...came from SNL!

The show was around when you used to sneak-watch it as a kid. It was there in the background during college parties. And it was there in your adult life, when you’d come home from being out with your friends, kick back in your favorite easychair and crack open a beer.

It’s never going to be all things to all people. It’s like that old friend who’s always been there. He tries to be funny when you’re all hanging out...and once in a while he lands a good zinger. You’re just glad he’s still around.

Appreciate SNL while it’s still here. Once it’s gone, there will never be anything like it again.
