Rob Schneider criticizes SNL for being "completely against Trump"

Schneider, who went from being a lifelong Democrat to a Republican in 2013 to recently becoming an independent, tells The New York Daily News: "The fun of Saturday Night Live was always you never knew which way they leaned politically. You kind of assumed they would lean more left and liberal, but now the cat's out of the bag they are completely against Trump, which I think makes it less interesting because you know the direction the piece is going." Schneider also criticized Alec Baldwin's portrayal of Trump, comparing it to Dana Carvey's Bush impression: "I don't find his impression to be comical," he says. "Because, like I said, I know the way his politics lean and it spoils any surprise. There's no possible surprise. He so clearly hates the man he's playing ... Carvey played it respectfully. To me, the genius of Dana Carvey was Dana always had empathy for the people he played, and Alec Baldwin has nothing but a fuming, seething anger toward the person he plays."

Another difference is that Bush sort of liked Carvey's impression while I am sure Trump fumes about it Baldwin's.

I think it's fascinating. I loved most of the Bush/Clinton impressions and jokes on comedy shows. But with Trump - there's so little subtlety that the comedy i see today is not just poor, but is actually annoying.

Colbert went from amazing to piss poor -
Same applies to most other political comedians.

It’s not only the lack of subtlety, it’s the blatant one sided hate fest. They went so easy on both Clinton’s. And Obama was completely untouchable. That would be “racist”. The show is tired and has become the typical demokkkrat hate night comedy cliche.
