what do you think of the new guys of the past few years?

Tim Robinson-Should have been retained

Aidy Bryant-Nice that they have body size diversity but she often goes to the same well. It is still a funny well, though

Cecily Strong-All that and a bag of chips. She has some of the same idiosyncracies but she's clearly a talented actress and I like what she does with characters

Kate McKinnon-Not sure if she's the most talented woman on the cast, but definitely worth her spot

Brooks Whelan-I don't think he was ever that trained as an actor so why put him on one of the most demanding acting jobs there is? Pete Davidson does stand-up better. Still, I would have liked to see him another season and I'm not sure why

Jon Milhiser-Didn't seem ready for the big-time. Also seemed strangely dislikeable

Noel Wells-Seemed to have strong impressions and strong skills. Would have liked to see her another season

Kyle Mooney-My take is the reverse as most people: His weird stuff isn't as consistently good as he thinks it is. His regular utility work is more solid than most people give him credit for

Beck Bennett-Seems more stiff and boring than most of his admirers say. If his fortunes were reversed with Brooks Whelan, I'm not sure the show's quality would be that much different.

Mike O'Brien-Seemed unnatural in front of the camera and slightly cocky. If he's an awkward guy, couldn't he have cultivated THAT on camera. There wasn't anything special about seeing him on screen except he had a few winning ideas for shorts and I'm glad he got to continue those

Sasheer Zamata-She can sing, she can act, I like her portrayals of adolescents, and she seems like she has the enthusiasm to be down for anything. She's had no lasting characters but I barely care. She's not the star of the cast but she deserves her place

Colin Jost-On his own, he's horrible. Paired with Che, he's become slightly better over time.

Michael Che-Pretty solid. I like his stand-up comedy chops. It isn't always the most complex joke but it has a sort of natural delivery.

Pete Davidson-He's the resident young person slacker that previously was Sandler, Fallon and Samberg, but I think he acts better than all three of them and half the time he isn't even trying. Like Leslie Jones he has enough of his own personality to make a mark

Leslie Jones-At first I thought she was a loud sassy black stereotype but she's evolved to take on a few different types of roles other than her signature persona in her second season so I'm satisfied

Jon Rudnitsky-I think he was versatile enough and had enough enthusiasm to dive into sketches and be an addition rather than a subtraction should have stayed

Alex Moffatt-Not sure yet.

Mikey Day-Seems proficient in his scenes. Could be a good utility player. He looks kind of muscular though which is weird for a comedian who normally look like David Spade.

Melissa Villasenor-Has she done acting or just impressions. I don't think it's a promising start so far as she's been in not that many sketches

Tim Robinson- Can't remember him

Aidy Bryant
-She's decent, but she does do a lot of the same stuff.

Cecily Strong- She's good, but should be used more sparingly - not in every sketch.

Kate McKinnon- She's a Most Valuable Player.

Brooks Whelan- He could have gotten better.

Kyle Mooney- He's good sometimes.

Colin Jost- He and Michael Che are a pretty good WU team, but no near as good as Seth/Amy/Tina.

Pete Davidson - This guy is funny even when the material is weak.

Leslie Jones - She's nuts, but in a good way.

Melissa Villasenor - She's like a female Bill Hader. She'll be a fan favourite very soon.

I totally agree with this assessment.

If you’re at home at 11:30
PM on Saturday night, there’s something wrong with you. This crap is WELL BEYOND its sell-by date.

Fuck. Is Comedy Central/The Comedy Channel/NBC or whatever it’s called today still a thing? No wonder all the online assholes who try to substitute juvenile sarcasm for wit are so pathetic. “Wait. It was a joke! I was being sarcastic!”

No. You were being puerile and pathetic, and almost always immature white male, who has no
humor clue whatsoever.
