I loved this show when I was a lil kid back in the 70's & still do for nostalgic reasons. It had a Cool theme, Cool Premise, Steve Forrest & Robert Urich (2 of my all time fav actors) and a kick-ass bread truck. Very cool stuff when your 6 yrs old. I gotta admit though, now that i'm 30 yrs older, it's kinda hard not to laugh at some of the action scenes & how ridiculous some of the tactics were. But that's to be expected. Especially after seeing real life shows like Dallas SWAT & numerous movies that are much more realistic. Can you believe that this show (which is tame by todays standards) was considered "too violent" by many people back in those days? What were those people smoking??? LOL

Best subject title on IMDB, congrats!

I always did expect to see a bunch of cupcakes and wheat loaves come crashing into the back of the driver's head when he slammed to a stop in the opening.

Did the "bread Truck" have grab bars or straps for when they went around corners or hit the brakes?

And speaking of brakes, what was up with the brakes on the truck? It fish-tailed every time it stopped.

No grab bars needed.

The cat like reflexes and superhuman balance possessed by all team members negates the need for any sort of restraints.

LMAO! One of the funniest titles of a thread ever.....YES, I agree :) I started watching when I was 12 and am loving it again on Antenna TV. BUT of course! Real SWAT is so much better now...so many years have gone by.

The people who claimed SWAT was too violent definitely had blinders on!
