Your best bet is probablt ebay, or any place that sells used VHS. If your local library has a media section you might want to check their catalogue.

It'll eventually be released on DVD, but when is anybody's guess.

I've never seen "Phyllis" for sale in any format, but I hope it will make it to DVD. Since there are only two seasons, Fox could offer both at a special price. I would also like to see two other short-lived MTM shows out on DVD: "Doc" and "Bridget Loves Bernie". Perhaps someday.

reply

It was actually briefly offered for sale on VHS. You can probably still find a copy for sale on Amazon.

It was just two episodes that were released I think on video. We're lucky we had reruns on cable in recent years in Scotland and I have now tranfered them to DVD, but they are not as good as the Mary Tyler Moore Show DVD's quality wise.

reply

I got the first two episodes of "Phyllis" on vhs,on EBay about 2 years ago.
I was delighted,as my copies from cable are over thirteen years old now!
It was a very funny show,it was that boring office in the 2nd season that ruined the show,to me.
Cable showed Phyllis in the wrong order in the UK,they showed episodes of Bess married, before any of the season 2 episodes.
I hope it comes on DVD soon, surprised Rhoda isn't out on DVD yet!

I believe I am in error about "Bridget Loves Bernie". I don't think it was produced by MTM.

reply

You can get both seasons at ioffer.com but its $75

reply

Noooo don't spend $75 on this! That guy should be ashamed for trying to rape consumers like that. There's somebody else selling on there now for 22 dollars. I just bought it and the quality looks real good. I think it's missing one episode but I'd have to check again. A few episodes are out of order, but who cares. It seems like a good set.

reply

The set is looking real good. It is missing one episode and is edited for commercials ofcourse with the 22 minute run time. But it is definitely worth it. I think it's safe to say it's not going to be released officially on dvd.
