In the episode "Father Christmas", George and Tom talked about their Christmases with their dads as children. When they showed George's past, they never mentioned George's brother Henry. I wonder why when they showed Tom's past, they didn't get Leon Ames to reprise the role of Tom's father instead of having Franklin Cover looking like John Cleese...

Who is Leon Ames??

It's clear the writers for the Jeffersons totally forgot about Henry and didn't want him in their show. He was only there in All in the Family.

Leon Ames played Tom's father in Jenny's Grandparents back in season 2...

He died in 1993. I think he was still doing things around that time...
