This was my first time watching this episode and it was heartbreaking. I really felt for Florence. And I loved how they handled such a serious subject with humor.
Let us be crooked, but never common.
Yeah, that was a good episode and they handled it well. But it was so unlike Florence to get suicidal in the first place.

That was one of the earliest episodes in the series (second season). It was touching and it had some great lines in it too, like the two riddles and George mentioning that he'll wait until God calls him when he wants to see God.

But they are not the main cast. Main cast are people who appeared in nearly episode. That would be Mr. & Mrs. Jefferson, Florence, and the Willises. I believe both Lionels were only in 75 episodes total! There were over 30p episodes of the Jeffersons!

But Jenny is a Willis. Jenny was always a part of the main cast more so than Florence. Florence became a part of the main cast by the 3rd season (after the Jeffersons moved her in).

Wrong Smoky! Jenny was only in 66 episodes out of over 250 episodes total! Hardly a main character when you're only in 25% of the episodes!

I agree that Jenny and Lionel are definitely part of the main cast. Both characters go back to the All In The Family episode that set up the show's premise. Mother Jefferson was as well even though she died early in the series.
To say they aren't is like saying James Evans isn't a main character of Good Times because he only appeared in three of the six seasons. He most definitely was a main character.
