This show was a big hit overseas

It is ironic that this series was cancelled after one season in the US due to low ratings.

In New Zealand it was the number one show of the year!

I don't know where it rated in other parts of the world but it's just one more example of how the rating system and decision for cancelling shows is just wrong.

NBC proved this in the 1970s when they decided to stick to shows that had quality over ratings. Within 5 years for about the only time in NBC's history, they had 9 shows in the top 10.

These days it's just kneejerk kick and replace. Seriously, do they think a replacement is going to be any better? It may just as easily be worse, so why not stick to a show of reasonable quality that has a loyal fan base which could potentially grow over time?
