Does Anyone Want to See Reruns of this?

Am I the only one who is interested in seeing this show on TV Land? It technically is as groundbraking as All In the Family or Good Times, two of Norman Lears most successful shows in the 1970's. This show probably would have been a huge hit if it wasn't scheduled so badly and people got to watch it. Its the first sitcom to use sexual innuendo and it featured two homosexual men, prostitutes and other types of characters that the public was definatly NOT used to seeing on their TV sets. I would love to see epsiodes of this show. I think TV Land should air a few. Does anyone else?

"Not so tough without your car, huh?!"

Yes, I second ya for urging the "TV Land" to air the "Hot L Baltimore" racy show for the new generation to appreciate the 70s decade more! I am profoundly deaf myself. I never seen "Hot L Baltimore" tv programmings with closed captions. I do recall that my deaf mother mumbled to herself - "I don't understand what a fuss about "Hot L Baltimore"!

My elder brother always loved to watch this show and got depressed when it yanked off the network airwave.

TV Land execs, please run "Hot L Baltimore" 70s programmings with closed captions!!!

I liked it. This is also my go-to punchline failed sitcom rference.

I loved this series. I was a junior in college when this aired. Way ahead of its time. I'd buy a DVD set in a New York minute. It was great, with James Cromwell, Lee Bergere and Conchatta Ferrell (who has a second career life now on the much-lesser Two and a Half Men - a big step downward for her, compared to this.) If I haven't said so already - I'd LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see a DVD set of Hot L Baltimore. Even though I never did see the play. Unfortunately.

BRING OUT SEASON THREE OF "ONCE AND AGAIN" ON DVD!

I would love to see it again. Does anyone out there have copies on tape? I would love to buy a set.

TV Land is only interested in showing I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith and Green Acres, all shows that have been in reruns for 40+ years and can be bought on DVD anyway. There are thousands of obscure shows they COULD be showing, but it's just not their thing anymore.

I was 9 when this ran on television, so don't remember very much. For some reason, however, the title always has stayed with and I am glad to see others are posting about it.
As I remember (which could be wrong) the credits showed a neon sign that said, "Hotel Baltimore" but then the "e" of "Hotel" was going out and finally did.
Also, remember Conchatta I (who I have loved since I first saw her in this) was always wearing a caftan.
Does anyone else remember specifics? Maybe can corrent me if my memories are wrong.

I do remember this one season. I was 9 years old when my Mom watched this. I think it was on Friday night (maybe Thursday)if I remember correctly. We also watched a ABC show "When Things Were Rotten" starring Dick Gautier, which also only ran that one season in 1975. If I remember correctly that aired on Wednesday night.

I was lucky enough to see the original show live with Conchata Farrell (whom I've loved ever since). It would be wonderful to see the television show again.

I remember watching this when I was in junior high and loved it. I've never seen the series turn up for sale anywhere in the US or abroad. The only trace I've ever found is a 30 second promo on youtube. Norman Lear MUST have the masters to this show, or at least high-resolution tapes.

I too would buy the DVD collection in a heartbeat.

I loved this show funny as hell--will it be released on dvd

I watched this when I was a kid - remember thinking it was very funny but somehow I don't remember much about it except one of the old guys who never seemed to take off the ratty old bathrobe he wore constantly.

I'd give anything to see this again!

"I didn't say that. The camera must have misheard me!"

reply

My memory of the show is quite hazy as I was only 7 when it aired, but I remember loving it. I was always a fan of humor with heavy innuendo as a kid so this fit the bill perfectly. I'd love to see it come back as over-the-air reruns or DVD!

reply

No. It was horribly unfunny and one run was more than enough.

Totally disagree with the last post. I remember watching, and LOVING, this show when it originally aired. I wish that someone had bootleg copies for sale. Anyone on iOffer???

I remember my mom watching this show when I was a kid. It was hilarious!
