I vaguely remember watching this show in reruns as a kid in the early '80s after Mission Impossible. I didn't remember the title but I knew George Kennedy played a cop named Bumper. I checked Kennedy's credits and came across "The Blue Knight".

Maybe TV-Land will air it as there is probably little demand for a DVD release (judging by the lack of comments).

I never missed this show in its initial run back in the 70's. George Kennedy brought a real humanity to the role, as well as toughness when it was required.
It seemed liked it ran longer than one season however. It's too bad it has been forgotten.

Are you from New York? I remember this and Mission Impossible came on Saturday evenings in the early 80s.
