Burt Young's "Willy" made this the most memorable Baretta from my "teenhood." I recently ordered this DVD & was surprised that I remembered so much of it from 1975. The relationship between Willy & Baretta was so endearing & warm. Anyone else remember it?
shareYes, that episode was very memorable. Robert Blake and Burt Young seem to have a similar quality about them - they have a way of making their characters so believable. I enjoyed watching it again on DVD. It brought back a lot of memories. I watched it with my son. Now he's getting into Baretta. There were many programs in the 70's that were plain junk. Baretta had a gritty feel to it that made it rise above most of the rest of the TV lite of the time.
shareI agree with you that Baretta stood out from all other shows of the time. I'd like to order the DVDs, (if available) of Burt Young playing Johnny Checco & Solomon, 2 episodes 1976, too. Although I think my favorite character of his would be Willy. Too bad that Blake and Young probably won't ever perform together, again. Their chemistry was something to watch!
