Interesting Movie

I always thought this was a really interesting, original movie - obviously there isn't much interset in it.

Recently watched this movie and never in my life have I been so pissed at a character as I were at Gene Hackman's 'Zandy'! He saw how crappy his father treated his mother and of course, he followed in the same footsteps as he tried to treat Liv Ullman's 'Hannah' the very same way!

Thank goodness, she gave as good as she got (not enough, IMO)! And thanks to Eileen Heckart's 'Ma Allan' interference, it was a major turnaround in the film! I ended up hating it and liking it at the same time.

Well done!

'A mannequin hand and an electric shaver taped to a golf club!' LOL!!! - "The Other Guys" ;)

Zandy was despicable. When he shoved Hannah's head in the trough, I wished he had been eaten by the bear. Too bad some nice guy, maybe Adam Cartwright, couldn't have been passing through and taken her away. But at least by the end he was trying to be a better man. We can hope that small step eventually led to a happier marriage for his wife.

I recall seeing this film in 1988 or '89, on one of those late night movie line-ups they no longer have on local TV stations. I don't remember its name very well, but Comcast is offering it on their On Demand service this month, so I'll probably wind up watching it again (now that I know what its called).

Been making IMDB board posts since the 90s, yet can't bring up any from before December of 2004.

I just saw it for the first time and really liked it. It's kind of nice to see a film without the "fairytale" quality.

I just watched this for the 1st time over the weekend and I thought it was pretty interesting! I have it DVR'd and I'll probably keep it for quite some time.
