Heat Miser is 70s political figure

I realise how polticial it was. If you watch it now, you discover that Rankin & Bass made Heat Miser the animatronic representation of RICHARD NIXON and Snow Miser is probably supposed to be Nixon's first VP who resigned before Nixon did himself. The sagging "jowls", the ranting, the fact that it was made in 1974...so it's pretty obvious Heat Miser is Richard Nixon!

Um......., yeah.

So, I suppose ""Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is an allegory of the rise of Che Gueverra. Just think, a young man who leads a revolt against the oppresive forces of the system and comes to achieve legendary status. The beard clinches it. My God, we are really down the rabbit hole. "Rudolph" is really FDR, overcoming his handicap to help Santa (obviously the economy) through the stormy night (Great Depression)!

Snow Miser looked nothing like Spiro Agnew!

You may actually be on to something.
Both are men who are largely credited for great acts that they did not perform (Santa because he doesn't exist, Che because, myth aside he's much more suitably called an opressive, bloodthirsty hypocrite who killed anyone that disagreed with him or his methods).

Both recite buzzwords and phrases about the importance of humanity and peace without actually practicing or putting any effort into actually accomplishing that end.

And, perhaps most importantly, those who devotely follow either are brainwashed into believing their words while ignoring their contradictory actions, allowing them both to become moguls of their own crass over-commercial material and financial empires.

Dude, chill out. Look at pictures of George S. Irving and Dick Shawn. I'm pretty sure Heat Miser and Snow Miser were designed to look somewhat like their respective voice talent. Sorry, no deep political commentary here. By the way, let me know what you're smoking, because it sounds REALLY good.
