a found an error

when mrs claus and co go to see mother nature, and she decrees that heta miser must allow it to snow in south town and snow miser must allow a warm day at the north pole, she address the wrong brothers. snow miser looks outraged when she tells him to let it snow, and heta miser does as well when he is told to allow the warm weather. see for yourself!

I noticed that tonight too, acutally. xD

Also, whenever Vixen is in the pound, it shows that dog catcher with a thermometer, and Vixen doesn't have those socks on her ears (To make her look like a dog) but when Santa comes and pays the fine, Santa takes off the socks again and the dog catcher is genuinely surprised at the fact that she was a 'real reindeer'.

reply

I noticed that also, when she tells the wrong brother to let it snow in South Town and vice versa.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

reply

It looked like Vixen still had Jangle's socks on her ears when the dogcatcher was taking her temperature to me.

reply

i noticed that too, but it was made so long ago, that it didn't matter to them. but it doesn't matter anyway because its just a silly little Christmas movie that everyone loves! So an error in this movie is okay in my book.

reply

And the fact that Vixen is described as a female and she has antler nubs? Only bucks have antlers...

reply

Both genders of reindeer have antlers. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reindeer

reply

no both sexes of reindeer have antlers

reply

I've heard claims that male reindeer lose their antlers after the fall mating season, but the females keep them through the winter. So only female reindeer should have antlers at Christmas. Although if they have enough magic to make them fly, I guess they can have them keep their antlers until after Christmas.

reply

What about the fact that Snowmiser (I think) refers to them as step-brothers, but when they see Mother Nature they both call her "mother." Now this could be b/c she's Mother Nature, mother to all, but then it could be a mistake. They could be half-brothers and it said step-brothers. But then I don't call my step-mom "mother" while others may.... just something that bothered me

reply

What? They're both her sons... they probably have different dads.

reply

Maybe Father Time and the Sand Man?

reply

Heheh that Mother Nature got around! And the Snowmizer's little helper dudes don't wear any pants.

reply

Im watching it now, and reading this, and seen an error, when the elves and the reindeer land in southtown, after the cop tickets them ,the one elf tells the other elf to take off his socks (which are red and black striped) ,so they can cover the reindeers antlers, the socks are then Brown.

reply

That is so funny.. i watched it this xmas with my son, and noticed this too, so i came here wondering if anyone else had noticed the error..... too funny!

Still, a great movie!

merry christmas all!

reply

Maybe the socks are reversable and the insides are brown.

reply

I watched it tonight and I believe the socks are reversable. They looked striped on the inside as they are placed on Vixen.

I do believe the Mother Nature thing though. How can Snow Miser "let" anything in the south happen since it's made clear his brother is in control of that part. Everytime Snow Miser tries to send a little snow, Heat Miser turns it into rain... or fog. I think the key words are "let" and "allow". Heat Miser would have to "let" the snow to happen, and visa-versa.

reply

Yes, after 30+ years of watching this, finally noticed that error tonight too.

reply

There's no land at the North Pole, it's made entirely of ice. If the Heat Miser made it warm there, he would melt one of the polar ice caps.

reply

Um, this is fiction.

"More than likely, the audio was recorded first, and then the animators put it together and heard the dialogue "you'll allow snow in Southland" and deduced that had to be directed at the icy brother, he's going to be the one producing the snow, hence the error."

Whoa - you mean these weren't actors?!
