Question about the burro trap

I remember watching this when I was a kid, and I've always wondered about the scene after she followed that burro into the room. When the wall started moving in, what was that crap on it? It looked like tri-colored mud, lol!

I THINK it was supposed to be quick hardening cement, as evidenced when she scoops a handful of it and it's suddenly a rock. I think the trap was specifically for her and that's why the goop was red blue and yellow.
