This is a concept movie you guys!

No, this isn't your grandmother's Wonder Woman, she does not have super powers, and invisible plane or tiara, but she does skill, inner-strength and intelligence. Many comic book fanatics (myself included) hated this incarnation of Wonder Woman at the time. I thought it was almost sacreligous, however Wonder Woman can and should be interpreted as a woman who is capable of very wonderous things. AND despite the lack of superpower demonstrations, Cathy Lee's Wonder Woman does show remarkable courage and strenghth through out the film. I would urge everyone to look at the sutble message of this new updated Wonder Woman. She still espouses the views of feminine empowerment but in a more realistic way. Now that I am older I really like this Wonder Woman and I've learned to accept her as a part of the Wonder Woman storyline. Please, I beg all comic book fans to look at this with a pure heart and you shall see the truth is always there.

I didn't hate this movie because it didn't resemble the comic version. To be honest, I wasn't a huge WW fan until she was rebooted in 1987. The reason I didn't like this was because it was written like a made-for-TV movie and those are never very good.

SUPER AGENT DIANA is a more appropriate title.

It's essentially a TV spy thriller that decided to make its lead character into Wonder Woman. She has little in common with Wonder Woman outside brief references to the DC character. I like the few gadgets she uses near the climax, even if the costume itself is meaningless. At the end there's even an out of nowhere reference to her invisible jet never once established earlier in the film, and even then we still never see her use it.

Ricardo Montalban plays a rather charming, honorable lead villain. You almost want him to succeed. But aside from Andrew Prine's demented henchman role, there's no real conflict for Diana.
