Those Puppies!!

Our local library had a huge "clear out the VHS tapes" sale and WTRFG was one of the treasures up for sale.

I saw the film when it was released in 1974. I did not remember many details of the story, only that I cried at the end.

Well, after 34 years, WTRFG still gets to me. Example: At the rail depot, whose two adorable pups scamper out of the wooden crate, I cried for joy.
I wish still photos from the film were available of the puppies. Espeically one featuring those pups riding in the gunny sack with their heads poking out through the holes. ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS!!

So adorable! Thanks for that screen grab, taken before the drunk drops the bottle.

As cute as the puppies were, I found the adult dogs even cuter.
