I never realized how selfish the parents were in this movie.

I watched this all the time when I was younger and just watched it again yesterday. It really made me upset when the parents took all of Billys money that he won WITH the dogs and they decided "well now we are going to move to Tulsa and we might have to leave the dogs or our child behind". And then when the freaking dogs died the parents just chalked it up to being a message from God saying they should all be together in Tulsa so good thing those pesky dogs are out of the way to help them make their decision. And he only had them for a year my God he couldn't even enjoy them a little longer?
