The director certainly led an interesting life (he eventually committed suicide after battling AIDS). The main actor died in 1992, of the disease, but I can't find anything on Gareth. There are several articles to be found online, though.
shareUnfortunately, details on this film and the people involved are sketchy. Most of the online materials seem to be pretty much repeat each other. It appears the director, Christopher Larkin, had AIDS and thought he had cured himself, but he committed suicide in 1988.
I'd love to read more about this film, and I intend to seek out more details. This is a fascinating piece of gay history and a surprisingly well-made film.
