First of all, I don't like this film (Vase de noces, Pig ____ movie). I think it is awful. However, I decided to click on the director and see if he has directed any other films. I didn't expect to find that the film he directed after this one was called Of The Dead (aka Des Morts). Of The Dead happens to be one of my all-time favorite documentaries. He was one of three directors, wrote part of the film and also did cinematography and editing.

I have a new-found respect for Thierry Zeno. How one can go from making a horrible art film featuring sex with animals, etc. to making an entrancing study of death and how humans cope with/react to it is beyond me.

This film is no different from Zeno's later works, their central theme being death, I think you should look deeper into the message of this film, it has an existential motif underneath all the bizarre visuals it showcases
