My VHS Copy Runs 91 Mins Not 85 Mins.

I see that 'Code Red' have released 'Horror High'on DVD recently, which is great as it is a highly enjoyable 70's horror romp, but i was wondering if anybody knows the running time for this release, as IMDB lists the running time as 85 minutes, whereas my VHS is just over 91 minutes long. I would love the DVD, but will happily stick with my copy if the latest release is cut.

The DVD relegates the stuff with "Vernon's Dad" to the deleted scene file. That sequence was shot by Crown for TV well after the fact, and does nothing to enhance the film. The version on the DVD is much closer to the filmmakers' intentions, and restores the content that Crown cut for a PG rating.

I see, that makes sense as that scene did seem tacked on and was very boring. You wouldn't happen to know what content was cut from the TV version?, as i didn't notice any obvious cuts in my copy, but that may be because mine was a VHS release, and not a TV edit. Thanks for the reply btw.

The "official" VHS release from United Entertainment was mastered from a splicey TV print. Each murder has one or two violent shots removed. Don't want to get into spoiler territory, but if you have seen the bit with paper cutter, you can probably imagine what is missing...

I have and i can so I'll definitely be grabbing the DVD, Thanks again.

Mine is 85 minutes and I don't think it featured Vernon's dad whatsoever. That tells me what was deleted from my version.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.
