Its a very unique structure, been trying to locate it for years !

I don't know, but the idea they are trying to give you is that it is the nicest home in all of Baldwin Hills (L.A.'s Beverly Hills for blacks for all you far away), but for convenience, they might have used a place in a more upscale, better known neighborhood like Bel Air, Holmby Hills, or Beverly Hills.
This movie deals mostly with black society in the 70s, both the good guys and the bad guys are black, and the entire film is largely devoid of cops.
There are very few whites in the whole film, but that's a good thing, this is one of the few films of the genre that doesn't even suggest that whitey is everything that is wrong with the world, like Bucktown, USA, which takes place in "a jive town full-a crackas!!!"
