Too Real for Right-Wing Nuts

This movie has such a poor rating because it calls out right-wing gunnut militarists for what they are - loose cannon murderers, who were shooting US citizens dead after Vietnam, and now continue to do so on police forces across the nation post Iraq War (despite the consensus that Vietnam was an abject failure). Reality is far too much for the scoundrels who hide behind their knee-jerk patriotism. Great films of the 1970s were unabashed about calling out this violent subculture who shoot first and listen never, and whether its Billy Jack, or the many anti-westerns of the 1970s, like Paul Newman's Buffalo BIll, the way they ripped the facade off of American cultural propaganda ensured that in the 1980s Reagan would do his best to make sure the left never again had open access to the media and film studios as they did during the 1970s.
