Emmy verses Oscar

Why would this movie be up for Emmy awards verses Oscars if is was released in theaters?

You are literally too stupid to insult.

Yes, that has me puzzled as well.

The Emmy nomination was for an episode of the series "ABC's Wide World of Entertainment: That's Entertainment: 50 Years of MGM (1974)" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1056489/combined), not the feature documentary "That's Entertainment!" A user submitted the awards information to the wrong title.

The corrected information has been resubmitted to IMDb. Hopefully, the process will be completed in the next few days.

I should have edited after I got the answer. It wasn't eligible for an Oscar because it was mostly based on previously viewed material. With Haley knowing this, he in essence re-created 'That's Entertainment' for a series he produced for ABC called 'ABC's Wide World of Entertainment' and named the show 'That's Entertainment: 50 Years of MGM'. This way he circumvented the Oscar eligibility problem and received an Emmy nomination for 'Special Classification of Outstanding Program and Individual Achievement'. He ended up losing to Masterpiece Classic on PBS. This can be viewed on the DVD of 'That's Entertainment'...Haley was certainly a smart man.
