Isn't Richard Jordan in this?

I haven't seen this since Bush I, but isn't the actor Richard Jordan (Friends of Eddie Coyle, Gettysburg) in this? I seem to remember him playing a young, coldhearted doctor in a white coat, with the long, swept back hair that he wore then. I can't find a picture on Jordan's list that could have that role in it.

There is an actor who looks very much like Richard Jordan in this film, long swept back dark hair, but it's actually Michael C Gwynne. Unfortunately I can't find a still of him online from this film.

Jack Colvin who played the reporter in the Incredible Hulk TV series was also in this and he too looks similar to Richard Jordan

reply

The guy who plays that remarkably ambiguous doctor character (why doesn't he pass along the message that Harry's girlfriend gave him?) looks rather a lot like the novelist Martin Amis, don't you think?

reply

Yeah, he does.

He's an interesting character...never does anything 'wrong', but all the same is kind of slimy, smug and sleazy...the way he looks at all of the female characters...something's a bit 'off' about him.

Agreed. He's the strangest person in the whole film, and seems unusually young for what appears to be such an important position in the hospital. Also, he deliberately balks at answering Benson's questions about the computer system, either because he doesn't want to inform Harry, or because he has no idea himself. He seems poorly socialized, even for a physician.

Gwynne played "the fence" role in Harry In Your Pocket as well.
