Charles 'az_no_voice being a particular stand-out. Luckily he was killed off first, though unfortunately not before he had time to warble "Dance in the Old Fashioned Way"!
Direction and script very weak too.
Not a patch on the Rene Clair version of the book.
This and the '89 version are probably tied for the wort adaptations. Nevertheless, despite it's flaws, it's one of my favorites to watch. Always have enjoyed Oliver Reed, am a big fan of Richard Attenborough and Herbert Lom, and we have back-to-back Bond Villains (Gert Frobe and Adolfo Celi).
It's poorly done, but those members of the cast make it endlessly entertaining. That and the entire band that magically plays behind Chas Aznovour when he's doing the acoustic version of Dance in the Old-Fashioned Way.
I think Count Bassie and his Orchestra were the actual killers.
