I am trying to think of another movie maybe 20 years ago which also had ten people stuck in a motel and one by one they were being picked off. The first a young lady who's head was found in the motel's laundry (drying machine). This was more on the psychological thriller/horror movie genre.

'Ten Little.../Then there were none' is a fantastic book but as far as I can remember, at least one of the film versions didn't keep its original ending which was more downbeat (& MUCH better, psychologically!)
The Russian version, "Desyat Negrityat", contains, more closely than any other adaptation, the novel's ending.
The dvd is available online. I think the film might be on youtube also. It's worth a look. The cast is fantastic. Alexander Kaidanovsky doesn't look a thing like how I pictured the novel Lombard (I've always thought a younger Timothy Dalton would have suited the part perfectly) But he's fantastic in the role.

I don't think any of the film versions ended like the book. The ending of the book was much better, I think.
