Just watched it.

I like it quite a bit. Not really for the quality of the film itself, but for the story. Normally, I don't like remakes and think that the originals should be left alone, but I think this could do very well as a thriller. I mean, it's a nice concept but it could've been executed a lot better.

Any thoughts?

It does gear towards as a thriller.

Just as long as the bad guy doesn't drive a hearse or wear a yellow parka. Kinda conspicuous for a stalker with a revenge plan.

That and acting like Aquaman with the scuba suit.

The day I follow Aubrey Hale Clayton on a wet deck - that day, I cut my throat.

LOL

Yeah...
This film is a sub-standard drive in movie sexploitation flick. The best thing about this film was Angel Tompkins & the ending of the movie. I really liked the "downer" ending. THAT'S different.

Trust me,

That was a different ending...made me sad for Sean dying so young and all and not having many life experiences. :(
I was still tripping off the fact though that Ralph had the nerve to blame Sean for his brother's death-he knew darn well that Sean did not push his brother off that building! If it wasn't for him yelling like a lunatic and startling him, his brother would still be alive. Craziness!

Just saw this with Pick Up (1980), another off-the-wall sexploitation flick, as part of a Drive In Classic DVD boxed set. Both films are totally incomprehensible, yet me and my friend--who were high while we were watching--loved them. You can't watch these movies sober, my friend...but I'm sure you already knew that :)

"Pick-Up" is actually from 1975, though the box says 1980. I was disappointed at first that they'd start with a film from the '80s in the collection, but once I watched "Pick-Up," I knew the box was wrong:

And yes, these films make perfect "sense" sober, but I think they don't translate as well to DVD as they did on a big outdoor screen at 1 in the morning.

I watched the movie yesterday. It's trippy to see Jay North as the love interest of Angel Tompkins (Who is pretty "Hot" in this movie) the acting is average, but the movie to me is a cross between being sexy & being a thriller also. The stalker (Anthony James) is just plain creepy looking (10 on the creepy scale) He watches them bone through her bedroom window and scuba dives to watch them on her boat. Of course the 70's were known for having "Downer" movies like "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry", "Electra Glide In Blue", "Race With The Devil", "Aloha Bobby & Rose" to name a few, and this one is no exception, a complete "downer" of an ending. Other than that it was nice looking at Angel Tompkins "boobs" in the movie.

I just started a podcast with a buddy where The Teacher takes on Pick-Up in the first round of our Drive-In Cult Classics tournament.

Stop by our facebook page and give the show a listen. We're interested in feedback and what movies we should tackle in our next tournament.
