Why wasn't Dick Miller actually in it?

Unless i missed the scene. Dick Miller has been in 100's on films (including Terminator, Gremlins and Pulp Fiction (although was cut out) and wrote this (assuming it's the same Dick Miller) so does anyone know why he didn't have a cameo in this?
