So where's the horror?

If you're looking for a legitimate horror movie. DO.NOT.WATCH.THIS.

I'm not sure how or even why people, including myself, are getting recommended this film from horror films like Salo and Cannibal Holocaust. Nor am I understanding why people are saying this is so disturbing.

Because of the scene with the boys and woman? It's hardly disturbing. I've seen worse. It had me feeling slightly uncomfortable but that's it, mostly due to the fact as to why those kids parents would be okay having some lady rub against them.

The only scene that bothered me was the vomit scene simply because I have a really low tolerance to hearing/seeing/smelling vomit, and I'll actually get sick.

My main thought at the end of this movie was, what the *beep*. It just seemed like random jumbled up ideas thrown into one movie. On a Positive note, it didn't bore me, but I won't be watching it again.

Again, horror enthusiasts, STAY AWAY!

There is no standard horror here, however there are some uneasy scenes in it. Like the Sugar scene. Also do you think murder counts as horror? because there was that quite clear in here. and so was torture. Heck, there is even quite a lot of implied rape here. and if Irreversible can be considered horror for its rape scene then so can this.

You will also find that IMDB classifies this as Comedy, Drama. so no official horror to begin with.

I totally agree although I would say this is more a disturbing art film than horror. The only true horror was all that real footage they threw in there of the aftermath of that massacre because showing real dead bodies is always going to be horrific.

I agree with you that this movie is not horror.
But is Salo Horror?! No. It's a drama film that's disgusting. I don't think disgusting/shock films should be classified as horror.
