odd movie

I expected 'Superdad' to be a straight-up goofy mid 70s Disney movie, which it was early on. But the movie went off in weird and unexpected directions. The daughter's 'engagement' to wacky hippie activist/artist Klutch, the painting that was his 'ring' to her, the painting getting run over by a cable car, the dad fighting Klutch... shagadelic and far out there, man. I liked it, though. I enjoyed the weirdness and love the 70s charm of it.
