Officer Slide signaling Capt. Tanner

I've always wondered what Officer Slide is signaling to Captain Tanner with his finger while they are filling up for gas. Anyone know or have ideas?

Can't believe in 2 years, no one has replied with an answer. Here it is. When they first took Ofc. Slade hostage, he was standing outside his patrol car and Clovis fired a shot that struck the drivers door. Forward to where Ofc. Slade is signaling Cpt. Tanner. What he is doing is moving his finger to where the bullet hole is to show that a shot has been fired and Clovis is serious.

I believe he is simply pointing out the gunshot hole in the side of the car, which attempts to signal how they got into this situation and that Clovis might be willing to shoot to kill if he needs to.

Oh wow, thanks guys!! That makes sense.

I didn't realize he was pointing out the bullet hole, but I thought the gun was fired by mistake. I don't think Clovis really meant to fire the gun in that scene.
